Feature
TDK EDLC Electric Double Layer Supercapacitors are charge storage devices that offer a higher capacitance and higher energy density than an electrolytic capacitor. The components store charges utilizing an electric double layer formed by ions adhering to the surface of an activated carbon electrode in a matter of seconds. The EDLC series products are constructed with material/processing technologies and feature high capacitance with low resistance. A metal foil laminated film is used for packaging, providing a small size with a low profile allowing space-saving designs. These components are excellent for use in a wide range of applications, including memory backup in electronic devices, battery load leveling in mobile devices, energy harvesting, and more.
